Deli-licious in Golborne is a straightforward, no-nonsense café offering hearty breakfasts and quick takeout options, ideal for locals on the move or visitors passing through Warrington. Situated on Bridge Street, it draws a dependable crowd—early risers, tradespeople, anglers from nearby Wigan and Newton, and anyone looking for filling, freshly cooked food that won’t break the bank.

The atmosphere here is relaxed and practical rather than polished. You won’t find elaborate decor, but you will encounter friendly staff who clearly know their regulars and prioritize getting meals out hot and fresh rather than pre-prepared. Mornings are a busy time, especially for those grabbing a substantial breakfast to keep them fueled for outdoor activities or a day on the tools.

  • Best use: Quick, no-fuss breakfast or lunch with generous portions and solid value
  • Who it suits: People who appreciate a traditional, filling breakfast or takeout fare and a welcoming, down-to-earth vibe
  • Ideal visit time: Early mornings, especially during weekdays when locals swing by before work or weekend fishing trips
  • Atmosphere: Casual and friendly, with an emphasis on straightforward service and freshly made meals

This isn’t a spot for a leisurely café linger over a specialty coffee or artisan pastry, but for those who want hearty, dependable food prepared with care, it fits the bill. The emphasis on fresh cooking over reheating is noticeable, which sets it apart from other takeout places in the area. If you’re passing through Golborne looking for a substantial start to your day or a quick, satisfying bite, Deli-licious offers a no-frills but solid option rooted in the local daily rhythm.

Only ever had one bacon barm so can only attest to this single item on that specific day. And it was fine......good even. You might say that frying bacon is hardly a Michelin Star type of cooking but you'd be amazed how many really bad bacon I've had.......cooked fine but then left under infra red lamps for too long - sucking every bit of moisture out of the meat. It's easy to get bacon right, but just as easy to get it wrong. And my bacon from here was right. We don't eat Michelin star food every day (Or ever) but we eat bacon butties a lot (Most people do [Anecdotal I know] though) So I'd suggest that these good people making tasty bacon butties for the masses (And making them well in my opinion) is far more important than some chef in London making the perfect oyster dish that only a wealthy few would buy.
